Scheduling Campaigns
Schedule wallpapers, screensavers, and signatures to deploy at the right time.
Last updated: February 22, 2026
Campaigns in Ambient support flexible scheduling — from immediate one-time deploys to date-ranged and recurring schedules.
Campaign Schedule Types
| Type | Description |
|---|---|
| Immediate | Deploys as soon as the campaign is launched. Devices receive the update within seconds. |
| Scheduled Start | Campaign goes live at a specified date and time. |
| Date Range | Campaign is active between a start and end date. After the end date, devices revert to the previous content. |
Creating a Scheduled Campaign
- Navigate to Campaigns → New Campaign.
- Choose your content type (Wallpaper, Screensaver, Lock Screen, Signature).
- Select or create the content.
- Under Schedule, choose:
- Now: Deploy immediately on launch.
- Scheduled: Set a start date/time.
- Date Range: Set both start and end date/time.
- Set your target audience.
- Click Launch (or Schedule for future-dated campaigns).
Timezone Handling
All campaign times are stored in UTC. Command Center displays times in your browser’s local timezone. Device delivery uses the server-side UTC schedule — device local time does not affect delivery.
Priority and Conflicts
When multiple active campaigns target the same device and content type, the higher-priority campaign wins. Priority is set from 1 (highest) to 10 (lowest) on the campaign form.
Emergency Broadcasts
Emergency broadcast campaigns bypass all scheduling and priority rules. They are delivered immediately to all targeted devices and remain active until manually deactivated. Use Broadcast Center → New Broadcast for emergency scenarios.
Editing a Scheduled Campaign
You can edit a campaign that hasn’t started yet:
- Go to Campaigns, find the campaign with status Scheduled.
- Click the three-dot menu → Edit.
- Adjust the schedule and save.
Campaigns with status Active or Completed cannot be rescheduled. Create a new campaign instead.
Monitoring Delivery
Track delivery progress from Campaigns → [Campaign Name] → Analytics:
- Delivered: Devices that have received and applied the content.
- Pending: Enrolled devices not yet reached (offline or syncing).
- Failed: Devices where delivery failed — usually offline for >24h.
